Confidentiality
We only share customers’ personal information in specific instances: to communicate with them, send offers, surveys, or marketing materials, or with their driving instructor. Additionally, we may disclose personal information if required or permitted by law.
In-Car Lessons Scheduling and Cancellation
- The school offers driving lessons seven days a week.
- The schedule of lessons is decided upon availability and mutual agreement of instructor and student.
- A maximum of two in-car lessons, equivalent to 2 hours, can be scheduled in a day.
- For in-car lessons, pickup and drop-off will be at the same location, whether it's your home, workplace, or school. In case of any change in either of the two locations, the instructor must be informed in advance. Depending on the schedule and further lessons’ plan, the instructor retains the right to reschedule your lesson.
- In special cases, such as when a student lives in a restricted area where city regulations prevent driving instructors from conducting lessons, students will either meet at a location outside the restricted area for in-car lessons or the instructor himself/herself will drive in and out of the area. Please discuss this arrangement with your driving instructor.
- Your instructor may cancel or reschedule a session due to illness, personal emergencies, weather or road conditions, unexpected vehicle issues, delays caused by road tests at the Drive Test Center, or any other circumstances beyond our control, with no penalty to the student.
- As per MTO regulations, students are responsible for having their licenses, prescribed eyeglasses or contact lenses at all times during their lesson. In absence of prescribed sunglasses and/or valid driving license, student will not be allowed to drive the vehicle.
- A student may request to cancel/postpone one or more scheduled lessons. However, the in-car instructor (NOT THE SCHOOL) must be informed 24 hours prior to the planned time. Full lesson will be charged if the instructor receives the change request less than 24 hours before the scheduled lesson time.
Beginner Driver Education Certificate Requirement
- MTO Approved Beginner Driver Education (BDE) Certificate Program requires completion of 30 Hours of In-class/virtual learning and 10 Hours of in-car training within one year after registration in BDE course. After one year, the BDE duration lapses and there will be no refund for the payment made.
- The student will be certified online with MTO once they have completed the Program with a minimum passing grade of 70% for all 30 Hours of E- Learning and 10 Hours of in car.
- Certificates issued by Ontario driving schools are not valid for insurance purposes. Students must request a driver’s license history (DLH) for insurance purposes from any Service Ontario office or through their online platform. Fee for such a request is payable to Service Ontario and is not included in the Program fee.
Road Test
You can book the road test yourself by visiting the website https://www.drivetest.ca. If the need be, you may seek help from your in-car instructor or request him/her to book it for you.
- If an instructor takes a student to the Drive Test Center and the road test is canceled after they arrive at the test center, full charges apply for the services rendered (in-car hours before the road test and use of car for road test charges).
- If a road test is canceled by the Drive Test Center and the instructor is informed about it before pick up for the road test, no charges will be deducted.
